Macklemore and Lewis's single 'Thrift Shop' topped on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2013. Since 1994, it was the first time that a song reached number 1 on the Hot 100 chart without the support of a major record label. Second single 'Can't Hold Us' also peaked at #1 of the Hot 100 Chart. Macklemore and Lewis became the first duo to have their first two singles both reach number 1 in the chart's history.
