Rekha: Rare images you should just not miss

The ageless diva Rekha has four Filmfare Awards in her kitty and a National Award. In this rare image, Rekha can be seen felicitating Jackie Shroff with the Filmfare trophy as he holds a two-year old Tiger Shroff in his arms. Now, isn’t this picture adorable? Interestingly, while Jackie Shroff has taken a break from films and newcomer Tiger is shooting for his next flick Baaghi, Rekha is still active in Bollywood and looks as charming as always.

If you think Amitabh Bachchan made the best onscreen jodi with Rekha, think again. These pictures prove that the Umrao Jaan actress made a wonderful reel pair with Randhir Kapoor and the two featured in about 20 films together including Dharam Karam, Raampur Ka Lakshman and the latest film Super Nani. The two share a very good chemistry on and off screen. Randhir said in an interview that they are like guy friends and he can even share a guy joke with her.

Rekha also worked with late superstar Dev Anand in a few films like C.I.D. and Censor. Though they had a vast age difference, the ageless diva can be seen sharing a light moment with the Prem Pujari actor. While Rekha can be seen sitting on the floor, Dev Anand is seated on the chair next to him. The diva presented the IIFA award for an outstanding achievement in Indian cinema to him in 2003.

Rekha is known for her silk sarees and her lovely locks. She still makes several hearts skip a beat with just a glimpse. The ravishing diva had set a new style trend in the 80s with the success of her film Khoon Bhari Maang. The stunning actress redefined style in that era with her big bindis, double plaited hairdos and glitzy costumes. The Khubsoorat actress can be seen addressing the audience at an award function in a glittery costume.

Ranbir Kapoor and Rekha won the hearts of many when the two could be seen in awe of each other at the Filmfare Awards this year. Ranbir had received the Best Actor Award from Rekha on stage and touched her feet to seek her blessings. The Bachna Ae Haseeno actor wanted to acknowledge his admiration for the stunning actress in front of all and sundry which is why he had her name stuck on his chest! This was a gesture that left the ageless beauty blushing. We surely don’t blame him.
