Bigg Boss 8: Karishma Tanna the new villain of the BB House

Grand Masti star Karishma Tanna, who is currently locked inside the Bigg Boss house has been hogging all the limelight since the day she entered the Bigg Boss house. Whether it was applying chilly powder on the faces of her co-contestants during the task or demanding Gautam's elimination from the show after her fight with the latter, the actress has always been termed as 'selfish' by the housemates. However, yesterday's episode seemed to have exposed the real side of Karishma. Let's take a look at some of the highlights from previous day's episode.


Real beauty lies not in the physical appearance, but in the heart - this statement holds true for the Bigg Boss contestants. After Minissha’s dramatic exit, Puneet was welcomed back in the house with love. And as the new day began housemates woke up dancing to the tunes of ‘Nach Baliye’ unaware of the challenging day ahead.

During the process of yet another nomination, Captain Upen was given a special power to nominate five inmates. Other housemates were then asked to pick out their two nominations from among Upen's select five names inside the confession room. Shocked housemates went through an emotional turbulence while making their choices which were confined to the five names of Upen’s choice. However, as soon as the drama of the nominations got over, it made way for yet another task launched by Bigg Boss. Karishma and Gautam were summoned to perform the same in the confession room, while other housemates got a chance to watch the live feed of the task.

Gautam and Karishma were asked to choose three out of ten options provided by Bigg Boss. As both of them were blindfolded they had to hold 'yes' or 'no' placards to express their stand. The three questions, on which Gautam and Karishma would mutually agree upon, would be fulfilled. At one point, Bigg Boss asked the two of them if they want Karishma’s make-up back followed by Diandra’s make-up. Gautam said no for both of them and Karishma thought otherwise, which was probably expected by the housemates who were watching the game intently on the TV. But things took a horrid turn when Bigg Boss asked whether they would want to relieve Sushant from his sevak role which was a result of the big bomb dropped by Minissha post eviction.

Gautam surprisingly nodded in agreement to the choice while Karishma, who is Sushant’s good friend, chose ‘No.’ Shocked housemates were then dumbstruck by what they saw. Not realising it was rather insensitive to say 'no' to release Sushant from the house duties, Karishma then started nagging Gautam about his refusal to give a nod to her make-up. Gautam kept his cool and tried reasoning with Karishma, making her see the logic in saving Sushant than getting her make-up back. Karishma, who was in no mood to listen, lashed out on Gautam, calling him an ugly person who first convinced her to give up her make-up for Puneet and now when there is a chance to get it back, betrayed her.

Karishma lashed out at Gautam saying she didn't want to sit beside Gautam and that she didn't care about anything but her make-up. There was a chance for them to save any one of the nominated contestants too, but Karishma didn’t agree to that as well. After a heated argument, Karishma finally agreed to Sushant's option rather resignedly. Sushant, who was very hurt by what Karishma did was seen rushing to the washroom with teary eyes. It was only when Karishma and Gautam come out of the confession room do they realise that they were being watched the entire time.

In order to save her friendship, Karishma launches into an explanation. Karishma, says that respecting Minissha’s big bomb decision she didn’t want to relieve Sushant and also went onto confess that make-up was her first priority as she wants to look good on National television. The whole house turns against Karishma stating that what she did was not right and that she should have thought about her friends first and then her make-up. Upen also told Karishma that if she wanted to look good, saving Sushant could have made her look great. How will Karishma come out of this episode's repercussions? Is she the new villain of the house? How will she cope up with this guilt?
