The delightful Kojagiri festival brought together members and their respective families of Jain club.
The celebration had a theme, Devlok ka Sharadotsav and hence decoration, games and stalls all had a dash of spirituality. However, this festive atmosphere lit up more with the wonderful traditional outfits worn by guests, along with phetas that completed the ensemble. But, among all the guests it was Sanjay Arora who came dressed in semi-formals. It was later learnt that ironically this odd-man-out was the special guest and judge for the 'best dressed' competition. Keeping the high interest levels intact was the fun housie, which was also based on different holy places and deities of the Jain community. We caught up with Dr Sunil Parakh who said, "Everyone knows Jain food is bit different, but this magical Kojagiri kheer has no extra ingredients or elaborate preparation technique. It’s loved by all an this is where India truly unites."
