Ajay Devgn reveals why he didn’t give up on 'Singham Again’ Diwali release: “We all tried to avoid that clash..”

Ajay Devgn has opened up on the challenges surrounding the release of his latest film, 'Singham Again', which premiered on November 1, coinciding with Diwali. This release was notable as it clashed with Kartik Aaryan’s 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', leading to a competitive box office clash.In an interview with ANI, Ajay expressed his desire to avoid such clashes, stating, “We all tried to avoid that clash on Diwali but it didn’t happen. I never want any film to clash at the box office because the industry somehow suffers from that. Given the theme of ‘Singham Again’, we couldn’t have given up on this date for release”. Despite the competition, both films have performed well at the box office, which Ajay viewed positively.

Rohit Shetty, the director of 'Singham Again', also shared insights, he noted the film's success despite the clash, saying, "I am very happy that people are liking this film... After a week, both films created a revenue of over Rs 300 crores which is quite rare." The film has already made a significant impact, grossing Rs. 173 crore in its first week as per Sacnilk.com, making it the highest-grossing entry in Shetty's franchise.The ensemble cast of 'Singham Again' includes prominent stars like Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff. Ajay plays the lead role and is joined by Arjun Kapoor, who portrays the villain. The star-studded cast has contributed to the film's appeal and box office success.
The competition between 'Singham Again' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' has been fierce. On their opening day, 'Singham Again' earned Rs 43.5 crore while 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' brought in Rs 35.5 crore. As both films continued their runs, they collectively generated impressive earnings. Both films are expected to continue drawing audiences in the coming weeks as they compete for box office supremacy.
