Two policemen found dead with bullet injuries in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur

NEW DELHI: Two police personnel were discovered dead with gunshot wounds in Udhampur district early Sunday morning, officials reported.
The bodies were found inside a police vehicle parked outside the Kali Mata temple in the district headquarters at approximately 6.30am.
A police team promptly responded to the scene and transported the deceased to the district hospital for post-mortem examination.
Initial findings indicate the officers shot each other. “Preliminary report suggested the two police personnel died after opening fire on each other,” an official said.
An investigation is underway.
