Atantra Movie Review

This film tries to capture the lives of the impoverished and downtrodden who live in the arid hamlets of North Karnataka. The film follows the life of an innocent speech impaired guy and how his selfless life almost always meets with multiple woes and tragedies.
The two-hour-plus film seems at least an hour too long with the narrative lagging and how. The film has a wafer-thin story line and tries to capitalize majorly on the pathos that is painted in the life of the lead actors. The evil Gowda is a caricature of the lascivious landlord.
Barring a few good visuals of the arid landscapes of the places the film is set in, there is hardly anything to write home about this film.
