For the 19th round of the 2022 season, Formula 1 heads to Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas for the United States Grand Prix. The 5.513 km long circuit could see Red Bull Racing bringing home the Constructors' Championship if either Verstappen or Perez wins; if they finish P3 and P4; or if they don't get outscored by Ferrari, who sits on second, by 19 points.
Red Bull Racing currently has 619 points to its name, while Ferrari has managed 454 points so far.
Mercedes is on third with 387 points. With Max Verstappen having clinched the 2022 Formula 1 Drivers' Championship, the battle is now on for the second place for Sergio Perez (253 points), Charles Leclerc (252 points), George Russell (207 points) and Carlos Sainz (202 points).
Red Bull’s Sergio Perez and Alfa Romeo’s Zhou Guanyu have both received a five-place grid penalty for the 2022 United States Grand Prix after taking their fifth internal combustion engines of the season. It is also being speculated that Ferrari's Charles Leclerc will face a grid penalty this weekend for using a new internal combustion engine, however, the same is yet to be confirmed by Ferrari.
