Korean Automaker Hyundai is all set to introduce the Exter micro SUV on July 10th 2023. The Exter comes under the B-segment micro-SUV category and the Honda Elevate comes under the much more competitive C1 segment. In this web story, let's take a look at the comparison.

First, let’s compare dimensions, the Elevate measures 4,312mm in length, 1,790mm in width, 1,650mm in height and has a 2,650mm wheelbase. The SUV gets 458 litres of boot space and has a segment-leading 220 mm of ground clearance.

The Hyundai Exter is expected to measure around somewhere between 3800 to 3900 mm, 1,700-1750 mm in width, 1600-1650 mm in height and a wheelbase of around 2450mm. Boot space is expected to be around 350 litres with 180 mm of ground clearance.

The Elevate features 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels wrapped up in 215/55-section tyres. The Hyundai Exter is expected to come with 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped up in 185-section tyres.

The Honda Elevte gets a single engine option - a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine which puts out 121 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque.

The Hyundai Exter will be powered by a sole 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine which puts out 82 hp of power and 113 Nm of torque. The Exter will also get a factory-fitted CNG kit and the engine will produce 69hp and 95.2Nm of torque in CNG mode.

The Elevate gets two gearbox options - a 6-speed manual and a CVT Automatic. The Exter too gets two gearbox options - a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.

In terms of features, the Exter gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a fully digital instrument cluster, a segment-first sunroof, a dash cam, automatic climate control, a rearview camera, fog lamps, cruise control, automatic projector headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, a rear wiper and washer, puddle lamps and more.

The Elevate gets a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, wireless smartphone integration – Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, single-pane sunroof and more. The Elevate additionally gets Honda sensing ADAS suite.

The Honda Elevate is expected to be offered with SV, V, VX and ZX variants and the prices for the Elevate are expected to start from Rs 10.5 lakh (Ex-showroom).

The Hyundai Exter is expected to be offered in four variants - EX, S, SX and SX(O). The Exter will be the most affordable SUV in Hyundai India’s line-up and the price for the micro SUV is expected to start from Rs 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
