NEW DELHI: Bharat Petroleum has completed a comprehensive modernisation of its Vadinar–Bina Pipeline to strengthen national energy security and ensure uninterrupted crude oil transportation amid rising domestic energy demand and evolving cyber security challenges.
The 937km cross-country pipeline is a critical national asset supplying crude oil to BPCL’s Bina Refinery. The modernisation programme focused on upgrading automation, monitoring, and cyber security systems across the pipeline network. With a capacity of 7.8 million metric tonnes per annum, the Vadinar–Bina Pipeline plays a key role in maintaining stable refinery operations amid rising domestic energy demand.
The have upgrades strengthened network protection, system resilience, and centralised monitoring across the pipeline infrastructure.
BPCL said the project was executed without any operational shutdowns, ensuring continuous pipeline operations throughout the transition.
