Four dead, 21 injured in separate accidents across UP districts
Shamli: Four people died, and 21 were injured in separate road accidents in Meerut, Shamli, and Baghpat.
In Meerut, Shobhapur police outpost officer Amit Kumar said on Saturday night, an SUV going from Loni, Delhi, to Meerut slammed into a road divider on Doon Highway-58 before crashing into a truck. Manoj Kumar (42), Jitendra Singh (45) from Shamli, and Raj Kumar (64) from Sardhana died in the accident.
On Sunday afternoon in Jalalabad, Shamli, the driver of a speeding car lost control and the vehicle hit a roadside barrier on Delhi-Saharanpur Highway.

Vipul Kumar (35) from Jandhera village, Saharanpur, died, and the car driver, Sahdev, was injured and taken to hospital.
In Baghpat on Sunday, a tourist bus carrying pilgrims from Khatouli, Muzaffarnagar, collided with a railway height gauge pole near Pilana Mod. CO Harish Singh Bhadauria said 20 devotees, including the driver, were injured. Four critically injured passengers were sent to Meerut, and four others were referred to the district hospital in Baghpat.
