PALANPUR: Five petrol pumps in the district including Palanpur, Dhanera Ratanpur (DantaTaluka) Deodar and Ankhol Nani (Deesa Taluka) were sealed and prohibited from any merchandise for three months.

PALANPUR: Five petrol pumps in the district including Palanpur, Dhanera Ratanpur (DantaTaluka) Deodar and Ankhol Nani (Deesa Taluka) were sealed and prohibited from any merchandise for three months.
The confiscation led to the arrest of Mansurbhai Mohasinbhai Master and his nephew Azizbhai Moizabhai Master under Prevention of Black-Marketing of Essential Commodities Act, and sent to the Sabarmati Jail on Tuesday.

According to the District Collector, Mr.Kamal Dayani, the samples collected from different petrol pumps, were sent to the forensic laboratory in Vadodra. However, the samples did not meet the specified quality standards, and the department had to inadvertently initiate the action under the provision of Prevention of Black Marketing of Essential Commodities Act.
The son of the 78-year-old petrol pump owner, Baquarbhai, however, did not agree to the arrest of his father. "We hardly check the quality of the petrol or diesel supplied. We are concerned with the density of the supplied oil consignment."
