NIFT’s craft bazaar gives a peek into handicraft-making process
Ahmedabad: A three-day Craft Bazaar was inaugurated at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Gandhinagar on on Feb 16. The organizers said that some of the crafts exhibited include Maheshwari, Chanderi, Kala cotton, Ikat, Kota Doria, Mata ni Pachedi, mirror work, and Pakko embroidery among others. Prof Sameer Sood, director of NIFT, said that the institute is working closely with the artisans to improve their skills and their market reach. tnn
