Body found on college campus

ALLAHABAD: A 70-year-old man was found dead on the premises of Allahabad Degree College in

Khuldabad

here on Wednesday morning.

Police

have sent the body for postmortem.


Police said the deceased was identified as Chandan an dused to live on the college campus. He used to earn a living by giving private tuitions and the neighbours used to help him out with his other chores.

Eyewitnesses said he was last seen out of his room on Monday. Police came to know about his death after residents complained of a foul smell coming from the house on Wednesday morning.

Preliminary probe suggests Chandan died due a natural death. "We are waiting for the postmortem report to ascertain the cause of death, on the basis of which further action will be taken," said Khuldabad station officer.
