ALLAHABAD: Continuing the drive of attachment of properties in the name of jailed former-MP and mafia Atiq Ahmed and his family members, the police on Thursday attached gang's property at Chakia locality under the Khuldabad police station.
Circle officer, Kotwali, told TOI that the properties were attached under Gangster Act on the directives of the district magistrate.
He added that the property which was attached on Thursday belonged to Atiq's father. As police were currently eying on gangs' properties in different areas, cops were also collecting all required details and information in the same regard.
The police teams from Kareli, Khuldabad police stations accompanied by PAC personnel on Thursday reached the spot in Chakia under Khuldabad police station and attached the properties with completing all documentary proceedings and putting up a notice board at the site.
Claiming that Atiq had accumulated various properties on different names, police had been targeting these properties as these properties were a part of ill-gotten wealth of Atiq Ahmed.
