Farmer seeks modification in Noida land verdict
ALLAHABAD: A farmer of Gautambuddh Nagar has filed a review application seeking modification of the October 19 judgment of a full bench in the historical land acquisition case of farmers of Noida, Greater Noida and Noida extension areas.
The applicant, Ratan, of Ghori Bhangara village has pleaded that the full bench, through the judgement, has granted relief to the farmers by providing for enhanced compensation to be paid for the acquired land.
He pleaded that though he had demanded quashing of the notification for acquisition of his land, the court did not grant him the desired relief and instead directed the authorities to pay him compensation which was not his actual demand in the writ petition.
The application, though filed in the registry on Friday, will come up for consideration before the full bench of Justice Ashok Bhushan, Justice S U Khan and Justice V K Shukla when it sits to hear the application.
