Prayagraj: North Central Railway (NCR) has recorded a major national-level achievement during the Mission Karmayogi ‘Sadhana’ (strengthening human aptitude and adaptive development for national advancement) week, held from April 2 to 10.
Held under the joint initiative of the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), department of personnel and training (DoPT), and Karmayogi Bharat, the celebrations were held under the leadership of NCR general manager, Naresh Pal Singh.
The achievements were formally recognised at a grand felicitation ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on Friday. The chief guest, minister of state for personnel, public grievances and pensions
Jitendra Singh, conferred awards to top-performing organisations. Indian Railways was represented by chairman and CEO Satish Kumar and additional member (HR) VG Bhuma, while NCR awards were received by Mudit Chandra and Jhansi DRM Aniruddh Kumar.
In the national ranking, Jhansi Division of NCR secured first position across Indian Railways, earning a special award for promoting continuous learning and institutional capacity building. Notably, 77.45% of employees in the division completed the mandatory 4+ hours of training.
NCR demonstrated overall dominance, with all its three divisions featuring in the top five nationwide. Agra Division secured third position while Prayagraj Division ranked fourth.
In the workshops category, Carriage & Wagon Workshop, Jhansi (CMLR) secured second position with 84.35% participation, while Jhansi Workshop stood fourth with 79.16% employee participation.
Across the country, the ‘Sadhana’ Week recorded over 31.8 million course completions, reflecting large-scale adoption of digital learning. Employees of NCR also actively participated and earned several ‘AI Daksh’ badges, showcasing their readiness for emerging technologies like artificial intelligence.
Officials said the achievement marks a significant step towards enhancing efficiency, skill development, and modernisation in railway operations, aligning with global standards of governance and workforce capability building.
