Kadapa court sentences five to life imprisonment

TIRUPATI: The principal district sessions court at Kadapa sentenced five persons to life imprisonment after charges against them in a murder case were proved during the trial.

According to Kadapa I town CI C Bhaskar Reddy, the five persons identified as Layam Sudha Harinadh (27), Murahari Vijay Kumar (27), B Sai Prashanth (23), B Narasimha (26) and M Lokoddaraka Reddy, waylaid one Lokeswara Reddy near Raja Reddy street at Kadapa, threw chilli powder into his eyes and indiscriminately hacked him to death using sickles and hunting knives on 24th February, 2014.

The then Kadapa I town CI S Mahaboob Basha arrested all the accused and subsequently filed the chargesheet in the case.

After an almost decade long trial, the accused were proved guilty and the district court sentenced them to life imprisonment on Friday.
