NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party's PC Mohan won the Bangalore Central Lok Sabha constituency.
Bangalore Central is one of the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka state in southern India which came into existence after the delimitation in 2008, carved out of Bengaluru South and Bengaluru North.
Bangalore Central went into polls on April 26 in the second phase. The voter turnout was 54.06%. The incumbent Mohan is aiming to secure the seat for the fourth time, presenting voters with his 15-year track record. Meanwhile, the Congress has once again changed its candidate, fielding Mansoor Ali Khan, who is banking on the state government's guarantees.

Last update till June 4 10 p.m. The incumbent MP P C Mohan blamed the state government for delaying projects. To fight the anti-incumbency face the BJP is banking on Modi factor. In the other hand, Mansoor Ali Khan has promised to work on infrastructure and traffic in Bangalore, if chosen to power.
With a substantial minority electorate, the constituency comprises approximately 5.5 lakh Tamils, 4.5 lakh Muslims, and around 2 lakh Christians. Additionally, the area is inhabited by a significant number of Marwaris and Gujaratis.

2019 Lok Sabha election result In the 2019 election, BJP's PC Mohan retained the seat with 602,853 votes, while Congress's Rizwan Arshad came second with 531,885 votes. Independent candidate and actor Prakash Raj secured third place with 28,906 votes. In the 2014 election, BJP's P.C. Mohan won with 557,000 votes, defeating Congress's Rizwan Arshad, who received 419,000 votes, by a margin of approximately 137,000 votes.
