BANGALORE: Criminals had a field day during the festive weekend and raked in cash and valuables worth over Rs 13 lakh in separate incidents.
Their biggest haul was in Frazer Town where cash and valuables worth Rs 7 lakh were looted from a Kuwait-based businessman's house.
Miscreants made a clean sweep of Rs 60,000 cash, two diamond necklaces, 17 gold rings, 15 pairs of earrings and 16 bangles from the house on MM Road belonging to Firdouse Sherief.

The incident took place on Sunday when his wife, who was ill, went to a nearby clinic. The burglars gained entry into the house by breaking open the terrace door and ransacked the place. Sherief 's relative, Ibrahim Sherief has lodged a complaint with Frazer Town police.
In another burglary, miscreants unbolted the main door and decamped with valuables worth over Rs 2 lakh. The residents were sleeping in different rooms when the valuables were looted.
L Ramesh Rao, a businessman, stated in his complaint with the HAL police that the incident came to light around 4 am. Valuables worth over Rs 3.5 lakh were looted from a software engineer's house in OMBR Layout in Rammurthynagar on Sunday. House owner Muralidharan was away at a friend's house for Ganesha puja when the incident took place.
Duo robbed: Two friends standing near a park, watching a cricket match were robbed by an armed gang in Basaveshwarnagar on Sunday afternoon. K G Sumanth, a resident of Mahalakshmipuram and his friend Manjunath were attacked by a gang of four. The duo were held at knife-point and relieved of their gold chains and cash.
