Umpteen cricket lovers failed to get tickets for the much-hyped India vs England match scheduled for Sunday. In fact, many were more than willing to grab one for a price, but none was available.
Jithendra Kumar, a techie, was one such disappointed Bangalorean. "I have tickets for the India-Ireland match (March 6) which I bought online four months ago. However, tickets for the India-England match wasn't available online. Since the Kolkata match was shifted here, getting tickets became a major constrain."
"It's happening in my own city and I can't watch it. What can be more disappointing?" lamented a visibly irked Ritiesh S.
Sourabh Kapur, who hails from Uttara Pradesh has bought ticket for the India-Ireland match, more so as a consolation for himself. "I was dying to watch the India-England clash. but no luck," he said.
Sourabh was one among the many who were caned by cops on Thursday, but the love for the game got him back to hunt for that one `priceless' ticket.
Traffic around the stadium was thrown out of gear as cops had a tough time manning hopeful fans in vicinity of the venue.
