Krishi Mela on Oct 15-18 in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: Marking its diamond jubilee year, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru, will host Krishi Mela from Oct 15 to 18 on GKVK campus, focusing on attracting the next generation to agriculture. The four-day event, themed “Varied agriculture: for the next generation”. will showcase emerging opportunities and agri-technologies aimed at modernising farming and encouraging youth participation.
The mela will feature exhibitions, crop demonstrations and displays of new varieties, along with expert interactions where farmers can seek scientific guidance. Progressive farmers will be honoured for their achievements.
Key highlights include climate-smart and sustainable farming practices, organic and natural farming, soilless cultivation, agri-machinery, agri-tourism and a showcase of rural art and culture.
