Multiple online, offline options for Karnataka motorists to get 50% discount on pending fines
Bengaluru: After a successful discount scheme for pending traffic fines last year, from Nov 21 till Dec 12, the govt announced a 20-day period for motorists to clear pending traffic e-challans, issued before May 2026, at half the penalty amount.
The govt has provided motorists multiple online and offline options to view and clear their pending fines. Each e-challan is accompanied with a photograph as proof of violation of traffic rules.
Motorists can make payments through Karnataka State Police (KSP) app, BTP ASTraM app, Karnataka One and Bangalore One portals, as well as at the nearest traffic police station or Traffic Management Centre.
Vehicle owners can avail of this 50% discount from June 21 to July 10. The police department urged motorists to make use of the limited-period concession to clear outstanding e-challans.
Till now, traffic fines of over Rs 2,827 crore haven’t been paid. During the last concession period of Nov-Dec 2025, 77.4 lakh cases were cleared and fines amounting to over Rs 200 crore collected.
