Madhya Pradesh police had maintained Damor was suffering from depression and had committed suicide.
However, doctors had different opinions about her death raising suspicion.
On Wednesday, Anil Kumar Yadav, a deputy superintendent of police (CBI) requested the court to allow the investigating agency to interrogate Vishal Verma, a resident of Badwani and one of the four suspects in Damor case, public prosecutor BM Shrivastava told TOI.
Arrested and charge sheeted by SIT (Gwalior), Verma had been in jail since January this year.
Police had claimed Damor was in a relationship with Vishal, who had also benefited from Vyapam scam in 2009 by using an impersonator. Later, he allegedly also helped Namrata to get admission in MGM medical college Indore.
Reporter of a Hindi news channel Akshay Singh was interviewing Namrata's father when he had died under mysterious circumstances on July 4 this year.
