Bhopal: Chief minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday said the state government has earmarked over Rs 1 lakh crore for farmer-centric schemes in 2026, declared as ‘Krishak Kalyan Varsh', asserting that dairy and animal husbandry will play a key role in enhancing farmers' income.
Addressing a grand Kisan Sammelan in Kulaith village of Gwalior district, the chief minister said the state budget of Rs 4.38 lakh crore reflects the government's commitment to the welfare of farmers, youth, women and the poor. He inaugurated and performed bhoomi poojan for 41 development projects worth Rs 87.21 crore during the event.
