Bhopal: Five persons have been arrested in connection with poaching of a tiger in Narsinghpur on Tuesday. A team of forest officials recovered tiger hide, skull, and nails, apart from body parts of other wild animals, from the accused.
Divisional forest official Swarup Dixit said acting on a tip off, the forest officials arrested five persons from Jamunia village, and a hide, skull and four nails. “They confessed that about a month back they killed a tiger strangling it with a noose in Kareli range of Hinotiya village.” He hoped that the accused may spill beans on wider network in trafficking of wildlife articles.
