Madhya Pradesh: Sagar man held for killing his ex-wife’s fiance on their wedding day

BHOPAL: Police arrested a man accused of murdering a groom on his wedding day earlier this month.
The groom was getting married to the ex- wife of the murderer.
After separation, she was living with her two-year-old son. Prior to the murder, the accused had taken away his two year old son and murdered the man Devilal Kushwah alias Raj Malhotra slit the throat of Raghuraj Kushwah on the intervening night of July 15 and 16 in Khurai town of Sagar district.
SDO(police) Sumit Kerkatta said that the accused had changed his name to Raj Malhotra and was living in Indore.He had tried to mislead the police but was ultimately arrested.
Married sometime ago, Devilal , a daily wage earner, and Krishna have a 2 year old son. But, according to the police, Krishna was a victim of domestic violence. She was beaten almost on a daily basis by Devilal and she decided to separate. When he learnt about the second marriage of Krishna he decided to murder Raghuraj. He had planned the murder beforehand. For that he had purchased a new knife also and had taken away his son.
