Car broken into at PU night food street, cash, iPhone stolen
Chandigarh: Thieves smashed the windscreen of a parked car near the night food street at Panjab University and decamped with cash, an iPhone and bags on Friday night.Police said the victim, Vivek Saini from Saharanpur, had parked his Maruti Brezza in the area. On returning, he found the windscreen broken and belongings missing. Around ₹30,000 in cash, two bags and important documents were stolen.A PCR call was made to 112, following which Sector-11 police reached the spot, recorded the statement and inspected the scene.A case has been registered against unidentified persons. Police are scanning CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify the accused.
