Farmer bodies complete 72 hours of protest for fair compensation

Bathinda: Acting on a call by the Punjab chapter of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha, activists of 32 farmer organisations from the state continued to protest outside the residences of the AAP and the BJP leaders on the final day of their three-day protest, on Wednesday.
Protests also continued near the residence of CM Bhagwant Man at Sangrur. The state government is providing compensation of Rs 6,800 per acre under the state disaster response fund for damage to crops, which the farmer organisations have termed as “highly inadequate”.tnn
