Hisar: In a shift from degree-centric learning to job-oriented education, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST) has unveiled a five-year roadmap aligned with the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047' vision, promising industry-linked courses that prepare students for real-world careers from day one.
New-age BTech specialisations in artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, cloud computing and semiconductor engineering will be introduced in phases, alongside emerging areas like electric vehicle technology and renewable energy.
The initiative goes beyond conventional academics. By integrating internships, live projects and industry partnerships into the curriculum, the university aims to ensure that students graduate with practical skills rather than just theoretical knowledge.
Healthcare education is another major focus area. Courses in MBBS, nursing, dialysis technology, cardiac care and emergency services are planned to address the growing demand for trained professionals, especially in smaller cities and rural areas.
Skill-based programmes, including vocational courses and certifications in ESG and health data analytics, are expected to offer flexible, job-oriented learning pathways.
Officials believe these will not only enhance employability but also encourage entrepreneurship among youth.
