Chandigarh: Congress MLA
Pargat Singh on Friday criticised the Punjab govt over the "worsening power crisis", alleging that the state's electricity system had collapsed amid the intense summer heat.
Accusing the govt of failing to manage the situation, he warned that conditions could deteriorate further if immediate corrective measures were not taken.
Pargat claimed that around 1.5 lakh complaints related to the power department were pending, while the control room staff went on strike.
He questioned the govt over when Punjab's residents would finally get relief. He demanded the immediate resolution of all pending complaints, urgent talks with striking employees to end the impasse, and emergency measures to strengthen the power infrastructure.
