CHENNAI: As many as 6,096 students from 70 Chennai Corporation schools appeared for the Class X board exam which began on Friday, corporation commissioner Dr K Karthikeyan said in a statement.
These students wrote the exams in 20 different centres.
According to the statement, all the 20 exam centers gave a conducive environment for the students.
The statement said special classes had been conducted for the students to ensure that they fared well in exams.
