CMRL warns against fake job offers
Chennai: Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) on Friday warned the public against fraudulent job advertisements circulating on social media platforms and other online forums. The agency said it has not authorized any individual, firm, or agency to conduct recruitment on its behalf.All recruitments are carried out through a formal selection process. Job vacancies are announced only on its official website, www.chennaimetrorail.org/careers, and, in some cases, through advertisements in newspapers.The metro agency warned applicants not to trust communications sent from personal email addresses, WhatsApp messages, or fake letterheads. All official correspondence comes only through verifiable CMRL email IDs or authenticated letterheads, it said.No individual or agency is permitted to charge money in exchange for securing employment. Any demand for payment is fraudulent and illegal. Strict action will be taken against fraudsters spreading false information. TNN
