CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister C Joseph is set to attend the
Niti Aayog governing council meeting, convened by
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on June 11. He will leave for Delhi on a special flight on Wednesday morning.
Vijay last met Modi during his two-day trip to the national capital a fortnight earlier. “The chief minister is scheduled to visit President Droupadi Murmu and Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan on Wednesday. He will be taking part in the governing council meeting the next day, which is expected to last till 6pm," an official said.
The govt sources said that chief secretary M Saikumar would accompany the chief minister to the Niti Aayog meeting.
During his short stay in Delhi, Vijay is expected to meet his allies, as his earlier visit was limited to meetings with Modi and finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He could not meet Union home minister Amit Shah during his first visit. Vijay is likely to return to Chennai on Friday.
