Three held for stealing electric motor in Namakkal

Namakkal: Three people were arrested near Pallipalayam in Namakkal district on Thursday, for stealing an electric motor from a shop. The arrested have been identified as Suresh, 26, S Jeeva, 23, and V Manikandan, 26, all from Pallipalayam.A few days ago, the shop owner had filed a police complaint stating that an electric motor valued at 5,000 was stolen from the front of his shop in Agraharam. During a vehicle check on Wednesday night, Suresh, who was stopped by police gave evasive answers after which he was taken in for questioning. During inquiry he admitted to his involvement in the theft, along with two others. A case was registered, and the other two accused were arrested subsequently. All three were presented in court and remanded in judicial custody at the Salem Central Prison.
