Robert Vadra, has got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Aviva Baig, sources close to the family told news agency PTI.
The engagement took place at a private function attended by family members and close friends.
According to the sources, the two families have known each other for several years and the couple has been in a relationship for some time.
The family is currently in Rajasthan to mark the occasion. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, her brother and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and other family members arrived in Ranthambore on Tuesday.
Raihan Vadra, 25, is the elder child of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Robert Vadra. His social media profiles describe him as an artist and photographer. His younger sister, Miraya, is 23.
Both Raihan and Miraya have, on occasion, joined their mother during election campaigns. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is currently a Member of Parliament from Kerala’s Wayanad constituency.
Ranthambore, located in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur district, is a well-known tourist destination, famed for its tiger reserve and rich biodiversity. Members of the Gandhi family have visited the area on previous occasions as well.
