Delhi: Reel makers turn attention to police vehicles for instant fame
The latest videos don't have a date stamp on them but cops said they were looking into the instances. Police said they have been taking strict action on every complaint that is brought to their attention. The social media cell of Delhi Police also tracks such violators and reports them to the police stations concerned, an officer said.
In one of the videos, a man can be seen exiting from a police van with a background score implying he was undeterred. In another video, he was seen flaunting his vehicle on the road, without a helmet or while speeding.
In another video, a group of 3-4 men were observed making a reel in front of a PCR van and attempting to engage police officers stationed in a PCR van through silly poetry and seemingly ridiculing them during their duty hours.
A third video making the rounds on social media showcases a youngster posing with an unattended PCR bike belonging to Delhi Police. The boy then brazenly plays with the sirens and lights of the bike, sparking outrage online.
Netizens expressed their worry about the potential impact of such actions. They took to social media, advocating for greater accountability and for strict action against individuals seeking fame through such reckless behaviour. They also questioned the police for apparent negligence in letting their vehicles be misused.
