Panaji: Soon, commuters in Goa will be able to book KTC bus tickets using QR codes, recharge and check their KTC Smart Transit card balance in real time, and track buses both before purchasing a ticket and after booking to know exact arrival times.
MajheApp has signed a long-term agreement with KTC to bring this digital ecosystem to commuters from Pernem to Canacona, eliminating cash transactions and queues.
The app, built by GraceFulGoa and operated by KTCL, will go live in the third week of June 2026 and will be available on both Android and iOS. It has also roped in motorcycle pilots.
Every registered pilot onboarded onto MajheApp will receive automatic bookings wherever they are, removing the need to wait at designated stands. Both locals and tourists can book a pilot with a tap of a button.
“Recharging a bus card should not need a depot visit. A pilot should not need to wait for hours. And you should not need 50 apps on your phone. MajheApp puts everything in one place, ” said Samuel Timothy, co-founder of MajheApp.
