3 rob jeweller in Gurgaon of silver, cash at gunpoint, 1 held
Gurgaon: Three men allegedly looted around 5 kg of silver ornaments and Rs 35,000 in cash from a jewellery shop in Khandsa village on Saturday after threatening the shop owner at gunpoint and attempting to assault him with an iron rod.The incident occurred around 2.30pm when the trio entered the shop. According to the complaint filed by the shop owner, one of the accused pointed a pistol at him and warned him to comply, while another tried to hit him with an iron rod and forced him to open a cupboard.

Police said the accused took the ornaments and cash kept inside the cupboard. Before fleeing, they pulled down the shop shutter in an attempt to delay any immediate pursuit. The shop owner, however, managed to catch one of the men as he tried to escape, while the other two fled. An FIR was registered at Sector 37 police station under the provisions of the BNS and the Arms Act. A police team reached the spot and began an investigation.The accused was identified as Vikas (22), a resident of Khandsa village. Police said an illegal pistol used in the robbery was recovered from him.During preliminary questioning, Vikas allegedly told police that he and his associates had planned the robbery in advance. Raids are being conducted to trace and arrest the remaining two accused, officials said.
