GUWAHATI: Union home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday condemned the alleged sexual abuse of women, particularly involving Lok Sabha JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, saying BJP will not tolerate any insult or abuse of women. Shah also fired a salvo at Congress for the deep fake video on him which reportedly claimed that BJP will end the reservation system and change the Constitution once BJP crosses the 400+ target this year.

Addressing a press conference here after holding a massive roadshow on Monday, the Union minister also claimed that BJP has not sought votes in the name of Lord Ram but it was rather Congress which boycotted the consecration of the Ram Lalla out of fear of losing minority votes. In his address, Shah also said, “BJP’s stand is very clear – we will not tolerate any insult to Matri aur Nari Shakti.”

Speaking about the deep fake video in which he was reportedly seen talking about ending the reservation system in the country and changing the Constitution, Shah said, “BJP is always in favour of reservation and will act as its protector. Fortunately, there was a recording of my speech and everything became crystal clear (about the fake video) after I placed the original clippings before everyone.” Shah added that the Gandhi family has no courage left to face the election and “that is why the members of the family have left their traditional seats and fled”. He added, “As far as Assam is concerned, the BJP-led alliance is certain of winning 12 out of the 14 seats and in the event there is a change, the figure can increase only.”
