Cheating case registered against Tollywood actor Vishwant for 'duping' businessman in Hyderabad

"Rama Krishna paid Rs 2.5 lakh to Viswant and took the vehicle from him but the latter did not hand him over the vehicle ownership papers immediately. Later whenever Rama Krishna asked for vehicle documents, the accused gave some excuses. Subsequently, Rama Krishna found out that Laxmi Kumar, Viswant along with their associate, A Akash Goud have mortgaged the vehicle documents with a finance company and took Rs 20 lakh loan. Rama Krishna alleged that he was duped by the accused and requested us to initiate appropriate legal action against them," Banjara Hills inspector N Kalinga Rao said.
Based on the complaint, a cheating case was registered under sections 406 and 420 of the IPC. Police are investigating the case and no arrests have been made yet.
