IPS officers reshuffled after rejig of tri-commissionerate in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: After the reorganisation of the police commissionerates in the city, the govt effected a reshuffle of IPS officers by appointing Avinash Mohanty as commissioner for Malkajgiri commissionerate. For the newly-formed Future City commissionerate, Sudheer Babu was appointed as its first commissioner.The state govt renamed the existing Rachakonda commissionerate as Malkajgiri commissionerate. M Ramesh was appointed as Cyberabad commissioner, replacing Avinash Mohanty.

The govt reorganised the tri-commissionerates by reducing Cyberabad and Rachakonda to three zones each. Maheshwaram zone and surrounding areas, which were carved out of Rachakonda, will now be known as Future City commissionerate.Yadadri-Bhongir Zone of Rachakonda is now declared a district by appointing existing DCP Akshansh Yadav as the new superintendent of police.After incorporating the new changes, Cyberabad commissionerate will have the newly renamed zones: Kukatpally, Qutubullapur, Serlingampalli. Similarly, in Rachakonda, the three zones are Malkajgiri, Uppal and LB Nagar.
