'Kidnapped' man's wife booked

A case under the SC/ST (atrocities) Act was slapped by Uppal police on Friday against N Aparna, who alleged that her husband Srinivas was kidnapped by his employer, Deepak Reddy, a close relative of Panchayat Raj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy.

HYDERABAD: A case under the SC/ST (atrocities) Act was slapped by Uppal police on Friday against N Aparna, who alleged that her husband Srinivas was kidnapped by his employer, Deepak Reddy, a close relative of Panchayat Raj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy. Deepak Reddy runs Great India Mining Pvt Limited in Bellary in Karnataka.
Aparna, a music teacher at the government school, Koti, is a resident of Panchavati Colony in Uppal.

She recently lodged a complaint with the Uppal police alleging that the henchmen of Deepak Reddy were threatening her and demanding the documents of property owned by her husband.
Srinivas was accused of misappropriating more than Rs one crore of the firm’s money.
On Friday, Jashua Kumar, a servant employed in Aparna’s household lodged a complaint with the police alleging that he was insulted in the name of his caste.
