Ongole: The death of a man after police grilling in a case related to an illicit affair at Racherla in Prakasam district on Sunday triggered a controversy. While family members of the youth alleged that he died due to torture in the lock-up, the police officials claimed that the death was caused due to a cardiac arrest.
According to reports, a 34-year-old man U Ramanjaneyulu, an auto driver, was taken into police custody on Friday night following a complaint lodged by an elderly woman about an alleged illicit affair between her daughter and the victim Ramanjaneyulu.
