on Saturday announced that the spiritual leaders will be protesting at Tirumala seeking that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) rebuild the demolished Annamacharya house and Mandapam situated at North Mada street.
Addressing the media at the Press Club in Somajiguda, Sankara Swamy said that the TTD had demolished the 15th century Hindu poet

Annamayya

’s residence back in 2003 and had promised that it would be rebuilt in 2007.
“However, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams did not do anything in this regard even after 15 years despite repeated appeals and protests,” Sankara Swamy said.
He informed that spiritual leaders will hold a protest meet at Tirupati on April 12 and demand the reconstruction of Tallapaka Annamacharya house along with the idols of Annamacharya and Hanuman. The Hindu poet is renowned for his devotional songs for Lord Venkateswara Swamy.
The poet Tallapaka Annamacharya composed at least 32,000 songs also called as sankeertanas. tnn
