INDORE: The two-day Indore Management Association’s (IMA) 30th International Management Conclave 2023 started Friday with leading management experts and industrialists calling for smart leadership traits and use of latest technology as a tool to compete.
The inaugural day of the conclave saw more than 10 management experts and industrialists sharing their views on changing business dynamics, role of technology and leadership traits.

Inaugurating the session, Himanshu Rai, Director, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore said, “The outbreak of Covid-19 impacted the whole world but despite all adversities, India made its name in the world in vaccine manufacturing and this identity will help India in the long run.”
The theme of this year’s IMA conclave is “Reinvent, Evolve and lead”.
Industrialist MB Parekh, executive chairman, Pidilite will be awarded the IMA lifetime achievement award on the concluding day of the conclave.
Addressing the gathering on the topic to lead but not to bleed, Sanjay K Jain, Managing Director, T T Ltd and an author said, “One should be a leader by action and not just by name. Don’t keep doing everything by yourself, learn to delegate, set boundaries and prioritise your task.”
Speakers said failures are an important part of life and failed attempts should not dampen the spirit of the person as these bitter experiences enhance your experience.
Shreegopal Kabra, MD & Group President, RR Global said, “The key for a sustainable business is developing a strong brand. This is a very conducive business environment for entrepreneurs to start business because India is growing as a market.” Sanjay Agarwal, Founder, AU Small Finance Bank said adaptation is the key in business and an entrepreneur should learn to adapt to new things and technology.
