'Lesson for them': MP minister Kailash Vijayvargiya's shocking remark on Australian cricketers’ molestation; backlash grows
INDORE: Two days after two Australian women cricketers were allegedly molested in Indore, MP minister Kailash Vijayvargiya on Sunday weighed in on the incident, urging international players to keep local authorities informed when leaving their accommodations.
“Players must keep in mind that when they leave their place, their security and local administration should be informed because there is a huge craze for cricketers in India,” Vijayvargiya told the reporters.
The minister drew parallels with incidents he witnessed, recalling how a well-known English football player's clothing was torn offby fans at a hotel in England in his presence.
“Cricket players are very popular. They should also be careful when they go out to roam,” he added.
Vijayvargiya said the incident should serve as a lesson for both authorities and players to ensure better communication and security protocols going forward.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning when two Australian players, in Indore for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, were stalked and one was allegedly molested by a man on a motorcycle on Khajrana Road when the palyers stepped out to walk to a cafe.

Ohhh well, I don't watch cricket Or sports for that matter, but Australian young Caucasian women are beautiful and hence should be careful, supposed women like Serena Williams or Venus Williams can go anywhere they want, nobody will ever want to touch them (rabies fear is genuine).Read allPost comment
