Jaipur: Churu police are on alert following demolition of an overhead entrance gate with idols of ‘Ram Darbar’ atop it on the Salasar-Sujangarh road leading to the famous Salasar Balaji temple. Police are keeping a close eye on the situation,” he said.
Anand said that police companies were on standby mode even as adequate security arrangements have been made. “The law and order situation is completely under control. The police are keeping a close eye on the events, and senior officials are camping in the area,” he said.
The demolition of the gate had kicked up a huge row as videos began to go viral on social media. The gate located on a road heading towards the famous Salasar Balaji temple was razed for widening of the road and sparked multiple protests. The police, however, said the situation has since improved and they have allayed frayed nerves.
