KANPUR: Antaragni, the annual cultural fest of IIT-Kanpur, will be held from October 13 to 16.
On Tuesday evening, the organisers (students) of Antaragni including festival co-ordinators Apoorv Kishore and Pranay Shetty, chairman Prof Jai Ram Kumar and dean of student affairs AK Ghosh held a press conference and informed that in association with Facebook, RFID bands will be issued to everyone by which people can update their status on Facebook and also upload photos by swiping their hands in front of a box placed at various locations on the campus.
This year, some 1,500 students from 150 different colleges across the country would be participating in Antaragni.
"Antaragni will bring before the students a mystical 'Illuminati' performance by Bernardo Scolnik, an interdisciplinary artist from Israel. Also a graffiti artist from Italy and other foreign performers would also be coming to the campus to entertain the participants," Kishore said.
The opening night, 'Prima Nocte' will showcase the talent of critically acclaimed actors such as Rajat Kapoor, Yashpal Sharma, Anu Menon and many others in a play titled 'One on One'.
This year, Orphaned Land From Israel, a musical band would remain centre of attraction.
