Two persons killed in Tripunithura bike accident
Tripunithura: In a tragic accident, two persons were killed after their bike crashed into the concrete structure of the footpath of a bridge in Tripunithura around 1am on Monday. The deceased were identified as Subin S, 19, of Kollam and Nivedhitha K, 21, of Meppadi, Wayanad. They suspect that Subin, who was riding the bike, was inebriated. They both were friends and had known each other for nearly six years. They used to go for rides at night, and it was during one of those rides that the accident occurred," said an officer.
Though passersby took the duo to a hospital, they were declared brought dead.Police said they collected the statement of the victims' friend who gave them the bike. "The woman was not wearing a helmet," said an officer.Bodies were handed over to relatives after an autopsy on Monday. Hill Palace police registered a case and began investigation.
